Our First Wave of Distributors & Sales Reps

Time to sell your film

What’s up filmmakers?!

After years of research, I’ve found filmmakers want have their films seen by distributors, and distributors LOVE to look at films with third party validation (like UIFF) before reaching out to filmmakers for representation.

This year we are teaming up with a larger number of distributors covering a wide range of genres and formats, several of whom have picked up UIFF films for distribution in the past.

I am thrilled to announce the first batch of distributors and sales representatives teaming up with the Utah International Film Festival with more to be announced soon.

A couple of the films from our festival that have been picked up by Indican Pictures (West Hollywood, CA) include Big Bad and Lore. Horror and action films are very popular in their catalogue and there is also a wide variety of genres represented including Drama, Sci-fi and Westerns.

New Films International (Las Vegas,NV) picked up the UIFF nominated film Entity Project. Popular genres in their catalogue include: Comedy, Horror, Action, Sci-Fi and Kids programs.

The Diamond Couple submitted to UIFF last season and has already been picked up by Poorhouse International (London,UK). They specialize in documentaries as well as music and arts programs.

Purdie Distribution (Apache Junction, AZ) is a theatrical film distribution company known for releasing independent films nationwide. Purdie Distribution and UIFF have a long history of working with the same filmmakers such as: Unicorn City, The Saratov Approach, Skinwalker Ranch, Inspired Guns, Once I Was a Beehive, Out of Liberty, Witnesses, Rite of the Shaman, Remembering Heaven, and Prisoners of Fire.

There is a lot of overlap with our distributors as they each focus on specific areas such as theatrical, domestic and international sales.

These are just a few of the incredible distributors that are taking a look at films that are submitted to UIFF this year and we plan to have several more added soon.

But filmmakers with finished films are not the only partners we are teaming up with this season. In upcoming newsletters, I’ll be talking about literary agents for screenwriters, talent agents for actors and production companies looking for to green light shorts and features.
